When taking a good quality photo there are many things to keep in mind. When taking photos outdoors, it is essential to make sure the sun isn’t casting any shadows in the picture. Or if you are taking photos at a sporting event that the main focus of the picture is blurry. On Monday the track defeated Hollidaysburg with a score of 135-5.

Jump! A seventh grade track athlete soars over the pole in the pole vault event. The highest pole vault record to date is 6.16 meters.

Take off! On Monday Austin Kravetz raced against many others in the 110m hurdles. Austin came in first place for this race.

Throw it back! Many seventh and eighth graders competed in the meet on Monday. Pole vaulters use a pole to fly their bodies over a bar set to different heights and land in the pit.

Prepare for landing! An eighth grade track student flies over a hurdle in the one hundred meter hurdle race. Altoona came out victorious over Hollidaysburg.

Careful now! Pole vaulters must fly over the pole and land in the large mat called the pit. Pole vaulters must be cautious to make sure their pole or their body doesn’t knock down the bar or their vault won’t count.
