Every day teachers should be recognized for all they do for this school and for students. So I pick a teacher every week based on student recommendations.
The star staff of the week is an eighth grade science teacher Kristin Fazio. She has been teaching for two years of eighth grade and one year student teaching ninth grade. She is a good teacher and good at teaching science classes. She likes to have fun and do many labs to keep all her students active in class.
“I love to see student progress throughout the year,” Fazio said.
For all of her classes she has she gives a positive attitude out to all of her students. She gives notes out so students can study for tests or quizzes they have. She doesn’t give much homework. Then as heard around the school of eighth grade she is one of the best teachers who teaches science.
“She is my favorite teacher throughout my team of teachers; she teaches science very well. She always is happy and never yelling, and I like her because we do not get that much homework. We also do many more labs than I thought we would,” Evan Montgomery said.
She likes to play music during book work or anything else to get the students to be more excited about what they are doing. She also does an activity for everything they learn and a lab here and there to go along with it.
“Science can be fun; there is a whole world out there for you to see,” Fazio said.
She wants all of her students to take that advice out there from her so they know that science is used a lot in life, no matter what they are doing. From the beginning of the year until now Fazio says that now she knows what to expect from everyone and knows what she will get out in everyone.
Also Fazio always says one thing to her students to keep them aware of everything and to keep them motivated to try harder and harder every day and to do their best.
“You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take,” Fazio said.
