It is safe to say that Blue Knob is one of the best snowboard/ski resort in Pennsylvania. Compared to last year Blue Knob has been so much better. The slopes are a lot better, there is so much more powder and the terrain park is more advanced.

The conditions this year have also helped in making it better, but everyone at Blue Knob has been keeping the conditions great. Some people that work there stay over night to make the slopes great. They blow snow in the morning, and it makes some nice powder in some areas. They also groom many of the trails which makes riding a lot better.

As the year progressed, the terrain park and trails got better. The trails have a lot more jumps and logs that skiiers can jib. They have added more rails and jumps to the terrain park. They have held ski races, slopestyle and big air contests.

The prices for a ski tickets is actually pretty reasonable. They also give a lot of discounts for seniors, children under 12 years old and they give a military discount. Blue Knob gives lessons to beginners, and has two beginner trails and some challenging trails. Many people have learned to snowboard at Blue Knob. It is only 45 minutes away from Altoona and it is worth the trip. Anyone interested can check out their website here: http://blueknob.com/.
