Yolo: Things to do before you die

Klingeman falling to earth after jumping out of a plane 14,000 feet in the air.

You only live once. I want to have cool stories to tell my kids when I am older of the things I have done that they wouldn’t believe. So, I have created a bucket list of cool things I want to do before I die. Each  week I’ll write about one of the things.

Skydiving:

Believe it or not, my top thing I want to before I die is skydive out of a plane. I want to feel the the wind hitting my face. I want to see what earth looks like as I’m falling down the it. I want do some flips while falling. I want to be able to say that the craziest thing I ever done was sky diving.

I was so happy to find out that ninth grade teacher Jonathan Kingleman went skydiving with his friends from college. He went to Perkasie, PA to skydive out of a plane 14,000 feet in the air. Crazy right?

“It was the most frightening thing I have ever done, I have never been more nervous in my life before,” Klingeman said.

I did some research on Perkasie, PA where Kingleman went,  and found some videos of people skydiving and it looks so amazing! I also read about how the instructor will be with you the whole time. http://www.skydivingphiladelphia.com/ has some more information and picture if you’re are interested.

“I felt safe, I was more nervous in the plane then I was when I actually jumped,” Klingeman said.

I read that after you jump out of the plane you free fall for about 70 seconds followed by a canopy ride that lasts anywhere from 7 to 9 minutes. Where you can enjoy the the ride and the scenery. I hear if you ask the instructor will let you steer the parachute. That would be so cool! After you hit land I wonder if you would want to go again? I heard Skydiving can become addicting.

“ I would go again in a heartbeat,” Klingeman said.

You have to be 18 to skydive. Which, I don’t like because really I think that if you have your parents permission then you should be able to go whatever age you want.

“Once you turn 18 go skydiving,”  Klingeman said. “Once you sky dive and you survive, there is no reason to have any fears or worry ever again,”
