Announcements for Tuesday, Oct. 4!

(9/26-10/5) Attention Students: The library is hosting its monthly Lego Club meeting on Wednesday, October 5th from 2:45-3:45 in the library.  If you are interested in attending, please stop by the library and sign up by Oct. 5th.  

 

(9/29-10/5) Attention 8th graders: If you want to help plan and organize 8th grade activities like the “Fire and Ice” dance and “Roarapalooza”, you may be interested in being part of the 8th Grade Class Committee. Pick up an application today in Mrs. Bronson room (212) or Mrs. Wilson’s room (267).

 

(10/4)  This Month’s School counseling tip Tuesday topic is Goal-Setting. Do you ever think about the future? What you want to be when you grow up? Where you want to live or what kind of house you’d like to live in? This is all linked to goal-setting. In order for your goal to be realistic, it must be SMART! Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Bound. For more information, stop by your counselor’s office or see your English teacher.

(10/4) There will be a boys open gym for boys basketball for 7th and 8th graders that are not participating in a fall sport on Tuesday October 4th from 630-815 pm in the junior high Fieldhouse.

 

(10/5 & 10/7) Any 7th or 8th grade student interested in the sport of Wrestling for this coming Winter season is asked to please attend an informational meeting this Friday at 2:00 in the Cafeteria.  If you are looking to be a part of something special please join the wrestling team.

 

(10/4-10/6) Attention those going out for Harvest Day: You should have received your passes yesterday.  On that paper was a list of activities.  Please note that some of the items cost money so bring money if you want to participate in those events. Sno Cones, Soda, candy, Nachos and popcorn are for sale at the concession stand.  Pie in the Face, Dunk Tank and Basket Auction also cost money.  Also, remember you will be outside from 3rd period to 8th period.  You will not be able to come into the building for any reason unless medical.  Dress appropriately!  All school rules will apply!

 

(10/4) The Girls’ Soccer Team lost a hard fought battle to the Bishop Guilfoyle Girls with a score of 2-0 yesterday.  The Girls are on the road Wednesday, but play Mt. Nittany at home on Thursday.  Come out to the Roosevelt Field and cheer them on to a victory!

 

(10/4) The girls volleyball team is half way through its  season. Come out and cheer on the girls in their home games on Wednesday at Thursday this week at 4pm. Let’s get a student section to pump these girls up! 

 

(10/5) Come see the girls volleyball team after school TODAY at 4pm, take on Park Forest. Let’s show these girls some support! 

(10/6) If you weren’t able to catch the girls volleyball game last night, you are in luck! You can catch the game today after school at 4pm. The team takes on Central Mountain. There is only 1 more home game after today. Come show your school spirit and root on these hard working girls!
