This week’s throwback is Ed, Edd n Eddy! This show was aired on Cartoon Network awhile back. It was one of their longest running shows. The cartoon was supposed to resemble cartoons from the 1940’s to the 70’s. The show revolves around three adolescent boys, Edd, Ed and Eddy. They are commonly known as “the Eds.”

The Eds usually make schemes that involve getting their friends and fellow peers to buy their jawbreakers. In the end, their plans usually fail.

Ed is the dimwitted, workhouse of the group. Edd is the brightest of the Ed’s and is the most mature one. Eddy is the self-appointed leader of the Ed’s. He is lazy, greedy and sarcastic.

An episode that is a common favorite is “An Ed is Born” in season three. Eddy is tired of being the little brother so he is trying to act older. He uses fake mustaches and money trashbags. At one point in the episode, Eddy steals Rolf’s pet chicken.

In the future, I don’t really see this show making much of a comeback on TV. The creators of the show didn’t have anymore ideas for new episodes so they decided to end the show at season six. The show was originally supposed to end at season four.
