Keeping up with the trends

Trends are hard to keep up with, especially because in our world, they’re always changing. If you want to be able to keep up with them all, I’m here to help you. Welcome to the AAJHS version of Vogue, and the Walmart version of  beauty “guru”. 

This week’s look was inspired by YouTuber Emma Chamberlain. Ever since I started watching Emma, I’ve always admired her sense of style. She’s always looking super cute and always wearing clothing that’s in style, but she finds most of it from places like Goodwill and thrift stores which is pretty cool.

This week’s look can be achieved in a fairly simple way.  These looks are very easy to re-create  can be very fun.

These looks are fairly plain, but adding your own twist on them can spice them up. You can find plain shirts and sweaters almost anywhere, and that’s what makes these looks so great. You don’t have to spend a ton of money on one outfit for it to be your favorite piece in your wardrobe.

Plain T-shirts and sweaters are often a hot find at places like thrift stores. Places like American Eagle can sometimes charge a pretty penny for a plain white T-shirt just to have their logo. There are a lot of really cool places to go and try to find plain shirts and sweaters for cheap just to spice up an outfit.

But wait, why stop there? Accessories are usually really great finds at places like these as well! Jewelry, hats, sunglasses, you name it, it’s probably there. There are also lots of websites that you can look into for cool and cheap clothing as well! Why spend $45 on a shirt you’re just going to throw a cardigan over anyway? Am I right?

There are also tons of different ways to change outfits you buy from places like these if you’re not totally in love with them. There are tons of tutorials on how to cut and change clothing the proper way on places like YouTube and Instagram.

These kinds of  outfits are also very interesting because they can be styled with all kinds of different shoe styles. You can go with the good ole’ Timberland’s, Doc Martins, Vans, Converse, anything really. These looks are kind of plain but can be spiced up in a different ways. Just a simple hat or necklace could change your outfit from a comfy cozy outfit to more glamed up and ready to go.

I tend to follow this trend a lot myself and lots of other follow this trend as well. You can keep it safe or spice it up with some statement pieces.
