Cross Country Meet, Oct. 24

Hug it out! The girls’ cross country team pep talks before races begin. This was the last home meet of the season.

Freshman Brayden Henninger helps the team earn points at The Blair County Day meet on Oct. 24. Henninger made the varsity team for Altoona this year.
Ninth grade runner Gianna Marasco runs toward the finish line. This was Marasco’s first year in cross country, and she made the varsity team.

Fall leaves surround the finish line at the end of the race. The Logan Elementary cross country course was 3.1 miles, which is considered a 5k race.
Huddle up! The high school boys’ cross country team warms up with a pep talk before they race. The boys had a 4-2 home course record to end the season.
Ninth grader Liam Clyma runs laps to warm up before he races. The team warmed up before the meet started ran a mile within ten minutes.
Eighth grader Morgan Baker starts her run neck-and-neck with a Tyrone middle school runner. Baker got a medal for placing in the middle school race.
