The Sprint Unlimited was not as exciting as I thought it was going to be. There was only one wreck because Denny Hamlin overreacted when Tony Stewart got loose. Also it was only 15 laps into the race. The wreck took out six cars. It was a good thing that the fans did not vote to eliminate drivers from the race because there wouldn’t be any one to eliminate.
Other than the one wreck it wasn’t very eventful during the rest of the race. The top 10 drivers in order from first to 10. Kevin Harvick, Greg Biffle, joey logano, Stewart, Matt Kenseth, Aric Almirola, Kasey Kahne,Dale Earnhardt Jr, Martin Truex Jr and Juan Pablo Montoya to round off the top 10. There was only 12 drivers that finished the race. The other 2 drivers were Marcos Ambrose and Carl Edwards.
It was a boring race to watch because there was only one crash and it involved my driver Jimmie Johnson. Also it was only 15 laps into the race, but it made up for it because the fans could vote for a lot of different things like how many tires they would be allowed to put on the car at the end of the first segment. Also they could have voted to eliminate drivers.
Then the next day after the race they had qualifying for the Daytona 500. For the first time in the sport a woman driver got a pole in qualifying and that is Danica Patrick. Jeff Gordon is still the fastest man on the track but he got second in qualifying. Be sure to watch the Daytona 500 this weekend on fox at 2 p.m.
