2) Will Hahn
3) Blake Wharton
450:
1) Ryan Villopoto
2) Davi Millsaps
3) Ryan Dungey
In the 250 main event, Marvin Musquin shines like a star like he doesn’t even have any competition. Musquin is currently second in points behind Will Hahn. He is not far from becoming the bike with the red plate for the 250 class. Since the 250 class is broken down between the “East” and the “West”, they will come together and that will be a great, competitive race.
Going into the 450 main, Chad Reed gets the hole shot. Surprising all of his fans, including me, because he was scheduled for knee surgery two days after the race. After the first turn, Reed was in first, Millsaps second, and Villopoto in third.
In the second lap, Millsaps passed Reed in lap two without anyone expecting it. Ryan Villopoto then passes Reed in the beginning of lap three. Dungy was in fourth, and last weeks winner, James Stewart, was in fifth. Dungey then passed Reed on lap five.
Just in the beginning of this race, it was crazy. No one stayed in the same place. I could not keep my eyes on one rider. So much was happening.
Once the middle of the race approached, Millsaps was becoming his old self. In the beginning of the season, Millsaps wowed everyone in the supercross industry.
With nine laps to go, Villopoto takes the lead. Villopoto and Millsaps battled for three laps total.
Right before the white flag goes up, Dungey’s bike stalled out. He then lost time to Reed. To finish the race, as the checkered flag goes up, Villopoto gets his 31st career victory. Millsaps crossed in second, and Dungey in third.
The next race is in Houston, TX. on April 6.
