Holes(2003)

This movie is about a boy named Stanley who thinks he’s from a cursed family. While he was walking one day a pair of the “best” runner shoes hit him on the head, and the cops jumped to conclusions and thought he was the one to steal the shoes. The cops sent him to “Camp Green Lake” instead of sending him to jail.

Well “Camp Green Lake” is not what everyone thinks it is. It’s supposed to be a work camp, but the people at the camp treat the juveniles very harshly. When the inspector comes the whole camp has to act fake.

Yada yada, there are these dangerous lizards that surround the camp, alright and they’ll come back to ruin a special finding. Well Stanley eventually makes a friend named Zero after being there for a week and having no friends. After a couple days Zero is finally fed up with getting treated horribly and decides to run away. He stays away for a few days and everyone just thinks he’s dead so they continue on digging their holes for the leader who is secretly looking for a treasure. No one knows that though.

Stanley finally decides to go looking for Zero. They find each other and decide to go up these mountain and find a water source and some food. It feels like days waiting for them to get to the top. They get there and find onions and a river of water. They decide to back to camp and dig a hole where they found a random lipstick. They found a buried treasure but the dumb lizards decided to show up and ruin the special finding like I said earlier in this blog. Stanley and Zero are sitting there with lizards crawling all over them scared for their  life. They get out and end of finding the treasure belongs to Stanley’s family.They share some of it with Zero and his family.

This was a really good movie and I recommend it 11/10.
