On this blog, I will be talking about an episode of the Netflix series, Stranger Things, each week, including things such as, what I think will happen, as well as my thoughts on the characters and the events that happened.

Welcome back to Strangest Things. This week we will be talking about season one, episode three, of Stranger Things. During this episode, the search continues for Barb and Will and more questions arise.

The episode starts with the Chief of Police, Chief Hopper, going to Hawkins Lab. I thought that Hawkins lab was a spooky place.  It reminded me of a jail. Chief Hopper decides that this place looks too suspicious and decides to secretly investigate it. Chief Hopper then gets caught, but asks to see the surveillance footage of the night Will went missing. He notices something strange. He notices that it is not raining on the surveillance video, but it was raining the night of Will’s disappearance. I thought this part was really weird, and I was wondering why Hawkins Lab was lying and what they were hiding.

The nest day, Joyce, Will’s mom, notices some lights in her house flickering. She immediately thinks it is Will trying to communicate with her. Then, Joyce gets more strange phone calls that have Will’s voice in them. If I thought my son was trying to communicate with me, I would be so happy, but I would want to know where he was. Joyce then buys a whole bunch of Christmas lights. She arranges then in an alphabet. Then Will spells out a message using the lights. I thought this part was super cool but kind of creepy. Will spelled out the word “RUN” in the lights. As soon as he did, a creature started to come out of the wall. I thought this part was so scary because if I saw a creature coming out of the wall to try and get me, I would be so scared.

At the end of the episode, Chief Hopper sees an ambulance pulling a young boys body out of the local dam. The boys and Eleven are not far behind. Everyone is so upset they found a body that resembles Will. I was so sad when this happened because I thought that Will was still alive, but when they pulled out the body, I was pretty sure it was Will. The ambulance takes the body to the hospital, and the episode is over. This part of the episode was so sad for me to watch.

I thought this episode was super creepy, but it also left me with a lot of questions. What happened to Will? Is this boy really Will? Where is Barb? This episode was very good and suspenseful. Tune in next week to hear about season one, episode four.
