Students buy Hershey Kisses for peers
February 14, 2019
On Feb. 11, 12 and 13 students can purchase bags of Hershey Kisses to send out to friends. Each six Kiss bag will be sold for 50 cents each at any of the student council rooms from 7:30 to 7:45.
The Hershey Kiss idea was a joint idea by the student council members and directors.
“It was Mrs.Hogan’s idea, and they also had a similar thing done at Keith,” seventh grade student council director Michelle Anderson said.
The sole purpose of the sale is to raise everyone’s spirits.
“We are hoping it brightens everyone’s day,” the ninth grade student council director Jessica Hogan said.
This idea is not just for students but for teachers as well, and there is no limit to how many bags someone can buy.
“ There are tags that have a ‘to’ and ‘from’ on them, that’s how the students know who it is from,” Anderson said.
The Hershey Kisses cost more money than what the student council is making off of the sale.
“ We don’t intend in making any money from the event, but if we do the money is going toward student council funds and activities,” Hogan said.
The Hershey Kiss bags will be passed out to the students homerooms on Feb. 14.
“ I’m buying bags for my friends because I want them to see that I love and appreciate them,” eighth grader Sophia Caputo said.
Don’t forget to buy that special someone a little something for Valentine’s day.
