News Brief: Book Projects incorporate talents
About five years ago, eighth grade reading teacher Robyn DiSabato established a unique project for students. Students created a flip book with multiple slides that included different literary elements.
I had the opportunity to get some feedback. DiSabato said, “Culminating projects have always been a part of my classroom. I change my projects all the time because I am always searching for something better or because I get bored as a teacher. I found the flip book project online a few years ago, and I immediately loved it. It’s a creative way to demonstrate learning and showcase individual artistic talents.”
Each flip book has eight slides that include different literary elements for students to identify throughout the reading of the novel. Students have one month to complete this assignment and will receive a grade out of 50 points.
