This week’s pet is a Black Lab named Cheese. Cheese belongs to eighth grader Tyla Benton. Benton got Cheese two years ago.
“We got Cheese because we have another dog named Mac and I wanted them to match,” Benton said.
Black Labs are a friendly breed of dog. They are also very intelligent. Besides being intelligent, they love people and exercise. They are very playful.
“Cheese licked my best friend’s face, and it was really gross,” Benton said.
Black Labs are also mischievous . They get into things when left alone and need to be trained when they’re puppies.
“Cheese has eaten my clothes before,” Benton said.
Like all dogs, Cheese needs normal care.
“We walk, feed, brush, bath and play with him,” Benton said.
The lifespan of a Black lab is 12-13 years. Benton has had Cheese for two years. Black Labs are the perfect dog for anyone who wants a loyal companion.
