News brief: Big 7 Tournament
The wrestling team grappled in a tournament over the weekend on Saturday, Jan. 29 known as the Big 7 Tournament at State College High School.
The wrestling team competed against State College, Shikellamy, Bellefonte, Bald Eagle, Central Mountain, Hollidaysburg and Jersey Shore.
The wrestling tournament was be held at State College High School at 10:00a.m.
The team finished in fifth place overall with 138 team points.
Our school had seventh grader Reese Hite finish in first place for the Mt. Lions.
Altoona has two more matches in the month of February. Their last home meet Thursday, Feb. 3 will be against DuBois at 5 p.m. in the high school fieldhouse.
The team is super excited to continue. Many new wrestlers this year have been having lots of fun!
