Boo! A Halloween event will be taking place at the St. John Evangelist Church parking lot. Past participants always have fun and enjoyed the relaxing events.

Sunday, Oct. 30, the St. John the Evangelist Church will host a Trunk-or-Treat that will be taking place in parking lot of the school as a collaboration with the Lakemont Fire Hall Parade.

This event has cars that decorate their trunks and kids go from vehicle to vehicle to trick-or-treat for  candy. Cars must be set up by 12:30 p. m.,  but the event starts at 1 p. m. The Lakemont Fire Hall Parade will start at 2 p. m. where participants march in costumes behind firetrucks. Then, all children can go back to the fire hall afterwards to have a cookie.

For the last three years, Trunk-or-Treat has been an enjoyable and relaxing community event.

Trunk or Treat organizer Diane Ryan said, “I think the Trunk-or-Treat is a great community event. It’s safe for the kids and it’s during the day, so it’s good for families. It’s just a really nice community event that pulls the parish and fire hall together.”

With the fire hall and St. Johns Church working together, it’ll be a fun and exciting event!
