News brief: Altoona Hosts Annual Christmas Parade
Thursday, Dec. 1, Altoona will be hosting their annual Christmas parade! The parade starts at 6 p.m. and takes place in downtown Altoona.
People who plan to attend can enjoy the marching bands, floats and much more! At the end of the parade, Santa Claus will be making an appearance! After the parade, attendees can enjoy fireworks and the tree-lighting ceremony, which is a great way to get into the holiday spirit!
Eight grade majorette Elexis Hawksworth will be marching in the parade with the Junior High Marching Band!
“I’m very excited for the parade! My favorite part is getting to see all the people who show up. They are really fun, but the only bad thing about them is having to walk/march so much,” said Hawksworth.
