We will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week here at the junior high for the next five days. This is a Nationwide Campaign taking a stand against drugs. This year’s theme is Life is a Movie, Film Drug Free. We will kick off the week Tomorrow with Red Day. Tomorrow’s theme is Proud to Be Drug Free. Wear Red to show your support. Attention Mathcounts students:
Anyone interested in joining Mathcounts is still very welcome to attend! We practice weekly on Mondays afterschool until 3:45. Please see Mrs. Abbott for details. Mrs. Loucks is still looking for students looking to join Book Club. If you would enjoy participating with a small group of students who appreciate reading or discussing books, please join us on October 30 from 2:45-3:15. Attention Students: The library will be sending home overdue notices to parents for the first marking period on Monday, November 4th. If you have any overdue library books, please renew or return them as soon as possible.
The wellness committee is inviting students, grades 6-8, to the Fall Game Night, Wednesday, October 30th.
Meet in the Gym after school and enjoy Game time until 3:45.

There will be an open gym today from 430-6 for all 7th and 8th grade boys who are not still competing in a fall sport.
7th grade football equipment turn-in is after school today. Please report to the locker room at the bus bell after school today to turn in your equipment.
Rules for Mansion Park
In order to maintain a safe, orderly and enjoyable atmosphere for all those attending the 8th grade football game at Mansion Park on Wednesday evening, the following guidelines will be followed for students/spectators entering Mansion Park Stadium. These rules and procedures will be enforced at all times in order to keep our fans safe and students well supervised.
· All students in grades 6 through 12 are required to present a school-issued ID. They must sit in the designated student section that will be monitored by stadium officials. Or they may sit with their parents or guardians for the entirety of the game.
· Students in grades K-5 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or responsible adult for the entirety of the game.
· No backpacks will be permitted in the stadium. All bags and belongings are subject to search and seizure.
· No loitering is permitted. Students/Spectators must sit in the stands. Aisles must be kept clear at all times. Congregating under the bleachers or around the concession areas will not be permitted. Standing along the field fence during the game is prohibited.
· There will be no walking around the outside of the field during the football game.
· Students/Spectators who throw food, drink, or other items will be immediately escorted from the stadium, will not be allowed re-admittance, and may be banned from the stadium for the remainder of the school year.
