The play Trap, by Stephen Gregg, reports about an incomprehensible event: every person in the audience of a high school play falls unconscious—every person but one. Using interviews with witnesses, loved ones, first responders, and the investigators pursuing the case, a theatre ensemble brings the story of the strange event to life, documentary-style. But as the strands weave together into an increasingly dangerous web, it becomes clear that this phenomenon might not be entirely in the past. Unnerving, exhilarating, and wildly inventive, you’ve never walked into anything quite like Trap.
This show runs Friday, November 8 and Saturday, November 9 at the AAHS auditorium. Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults. Tickets are reserved seating and will be available online and at the door 45 minutes prior to each performance. Please plan to attend, if you dare!
Mirror, Mirror on the wall, There is a Leader in us ALL!
As we observe Homelessness Awareness Week next week, let’s unite in our efforts to educate ourselves and others about the complexities of homelessness. By advocating for supportive policies and resources, we can drive meaningful change in our communities and schools. Additionally, consider donating to local shelters and organizations that provide crucial services to those in need. Together, we can raise awareness and work towards solutions that uplift our neighbors facing homelessness. Let’s make a difference and be good leaders! Students and Staff on November 12th is Wear Red Day! Be Proactive!!! Wear Your red in an effort to raise homelessness awareness and show your support.
The Circle of Friends Club is meeting after school on November 21st at 2:45 in Miss Moyer’s room 226. Make sure you have a ride at 3:45 when we are finished. Grab a paper from room 226 if you are interested in joining. If you have questions, see Miss Moyer or Miss Novitski. We hope to see you there!
Our veteran’s collection continues. So far, we only have two rooms reporting. Those are:
For 6th Grade, Mrs. Kepner’s room with $26.
And for 7th Grade, $15 from Mrs. Miller’s room.
8th grade has no reported totals.
Reminder that the top three donations from each grade receive a movie in the auditorium, and the winner of each grade will also receive a Dunkin Donuts breakfast. Donations can be made through the morning of Friday, November 15th.
Please do your best to support our vets during this time of gratitude and giving.
