The hollidays are closing in, and what better way to celebrate than attending the Winterfest Parade.
Each year has a theme, with this year’s being the sounds of the season.
“They represent different things to different people,” said Winterfest director Melanie Ramsey.
From the crunch of stepping on newly fallen snow, to the soft jingle of decorative bells, they are the small touches that make the holliday season so special to people. These special touches will be incorporated into the parade floats.
Floats are made with creativity and passion that are stunning to see, some will even come with live animals, including dogs and ponies! It is a guaranteed exceptional experience that will make everlasting memories, so come down with friends and family to make memories that will last a lifetime.
The parade route for the floats starts at the junior high in Hollidaysburg and goes down Union St. Then, they will go onto Allegheny St. and turn onto Montgomery St., disbanding at St. John’s Church.
The Winterfest Parade starts Sunday, Nov. 24 at 2 p.m.
