The Jr. High band plans to play in the upcoming Altoona Christmas Parade.
Band director Brandon Kunder and eighth grader majorettes captain Paige Tipton have worked hard to prepare for the parade.
The Jr. High marching band has played a role in the annual Chirstmas parade for a very long time. The parade would fall apart, however, without Kunder. Kunder plans practices, so the band can have their best performance.
”We started practicing two weeks ago,” Kunder says. “We rehearsed around the parking lot.”
The Jr. High won’t only bring music since the band front will be performing a routine. The band front includes the silks and the majorettes.
Tipton is the captain of the majorettes, and she will ensure that the band front is ready for the parade.
“For only having one practice, we are looking good,” says Tipton.
The parade is on Saturday, Dec. 7 and the Jr. High hopes to see you there!
