The Greater Altoona Career and Technology Center is Hosting an OPEN HOUSE Tuesday, December 10 from five P.M. to seven P.M. There are over twenty-five different career paths a student can attend to get to know the career before they signup. The Open House is a great opportunity for anyone looking for a great future career!
The Altoona Area Career and Technical Center is helping students gain world skills that will prepare them for careers in a variety of opportunities.
The center offers hands-on training in areas such as automotive technology, health care, culinary arts and construction.
By taking classes at CTC, students can earn certifications and experience that will give them a head start when they enter the workforce or continue their education after high school.
Eighth grader Logan Schraff said, “It helps people get jobs, and there are a variety of things to pick from going from easiest to hardest.”
The CTC is part of the Altoona Area School District and serves students from surrounding areas, providing opportunities to learn from experienced instructors. Schraff said it is very versatile, and it is well managed.
With its strong focus on career readiness, the CTC is an important resource for students who want to explore different career options before graduating high school. Whether students want to start working right after graduation or pursue further education, CTC provides valuable training that can help them achieve their goals.
