Eighth graders Leah Nedimeyer and Mikayla Patterson share exactly what it’s like being in yearbook.
Nedimyer said the hardest part of being in the class is taking the time to put the pictures on the yearbook.
“Going on E-design is definitely the hardest part of the class,” said Patterson.
Nedimyer and Patterson said E-design is the virtual platform that they use to make the yearbook.
Yearbook isn’t all hard though.
Patterson says that the funnest part is taking pictures at sporting events.
Nedimyer says that the funnest part for her is taking pictures and walking around to find people to take pictures of.
Sometimes they work in groups, but a lot of the time they can pick who they want to work with on whatever they need to work on.
“Right now we’re working on the pages of the yearbook,” said Patterson.
Nedimyer said she joined because she wanted to make the yearbook look cool. Patterson said she joined because it seemed fun, and she really like taking pictures.
Later Nedimyer said that she also enjoys taking pictures and knew she would have fun doing that in yearbook.
Patterson and Nedimyer both agreed that their favorite part of being in yearbook is taking pictures. They also agreed that their least favorite part is working on E-design and having to stay in the classroom.
Nedimyer said that there is not really a lot of work that sometimes it just takes a while to upload pictures.
Nedimyer said when it comes to picking the yearbook theme, you have to talk about it together and get everyone to agree on a theme.
“It’s really hard to get everyone to agree on a theme,” said Patterson.
Nedimyer and Patterson both think that they will be a part of the yearbook staff in ninth grade too.
