Eighth grade principal Jerry Koehle has been an educator for 35 years! He first taught at Theodore Roosevelt Junior High School and Altoona Junior High School as a teacher for one year. He became a principal for the rest of his time here since 2009.
Being a principal is very important and challenging at some points. So persevering is very important.
“I try to treat every day as a new day full of many different types of experiences,” Koehle said. “I try to respond to those experiences in a positive way and to have fun along the way.”
Koehle also said, “Be ready for an occupation that is constantly changing and challenging but very rewarding.”
He is retiring after the 2024-2025 school year.
