The book fair is opening up in the library this week from Dec. 11-17 with a make-up day on the 18. Due to this, the library will be closed till Jan. 2.
With the setup of the book fair every year, it also comes with parent night. This year, parent night happens to fall on the night of the sixth grade chorus concert. Librarian Justina McCaulley said that they have a lot of parents who shop on parent night.
“A lot of parents take advantage of it before the sixth grade chorus concert,” said McCaulley. “We always do really well on parent night.”
There are both benefits for sellers and for shoppers at the parent night. McCaulley said that parents get to have a bit of shopping time with their kids.
“It gives the parents an opportunity to come in and see what the book fair is all about,” said McCaulley. “And of course we always make some decent money on our parent night.”
