A massive day in the state of Pennsylvania. All CFB fans were waiting to see who was bound for the National Championship game. The two teams in question were the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Penn State Nittany Lions. Both teams had incredible seasons and it all lead up to this head to head clash. Many people around this area support both teams, so it’s a fierce environment.
Although they had a very successful season, both teams have their flaws.
Eighth grade student Donato Fanelli said, “Penn State didn’t show up in big moments. We might’ve won if we just ran the clock out.”
Penn State fell 3 points short taking a 27-24 loss. Notre Dame kicked a late game field goal capitalizing on an interception. Notre Dame is headed to the CFB National Championship Game on Monday, Jan. 20 at 7:30 p.m.!
Eighth grader Kannan Shields said, “I think it’s going to be a close game, and if they play like that again, they are going to beat Ohio State.”
