Recently, Crumbl opened a new store in Altoona, and my friends and I were very excited.
Crumbl is known for their wide variety of desserts that switch every week, and the store is very popular among all ages. The store is located in Logan Town Center at 192 Fallon Lane.
When I went there, the line was very long and the workers seemed a bit overwhelmed but tried to get everyone their orders as soon as possible.
I ordered a six pack box, which cost $22.99. A little pricey, but the cookies are giant after all. I purchased two Semi Sweet Chocolate Chunk, a Brownie Batter, a Churro Cake, a Peanut Butter cookie with Snickers in it, then a Chocolate Crumb Oreo cookie.
I rate the classic Semi Sweet Chocolate Chunk a 4/5 stars. It has chunks of chocolate all throughout and tastes like the average chocolate chip cookie just much bigger.
Next, I tried the Brownie Batter cookie. It was dark brown with chocolate on top and tasted like brownie. I rate it 5/5 stars.
Then, I cut myself a slice of the mini Churro Cake. It has two layers of spongy cake with frosting in between. I rate it 3/5 stars. The cinnamon was a little overwhelming and the frosting was oddly cold.
The Peanut Butter Cookie with Snickers was 2/5 stars. It had frosting on the top with Snickers bar pieces and chocolate drizzle. Don’t get me wrong, I thought the Snickers was a nice touch, but I wasn’t really enjoying the peanut butter taste.
Last, I tried the Chocolate Crumb Oreo cookie. It had the same colors as a chocolate Oreo and had Oreo crumbs on top. I rate it a 5/5 because it tasted exactly like an Oreo but bigger. The frosting added some extra flavor and worked well with the cookie.
Overall, I rate Crumbl a solid 4/5 stars. It’s a good place to go to get desserts and hang out with friends, but some aren’t as good as others. It all just comes down to what you like though, so I recommend giving it a shot!
