A big day approached all track and field athletes in the school on Wednesday, March 19.
It was the first meet of the season. This was the seventh versus eighth grade meet. A practice meet to finalize any details before atheltes get some real opponents.
Athletes chose what events they wanted to perform in for the rest of the year.
Eighth grader Lex Diehl said, ” I run the 4×800 relay, 800m, 1600m and 3200m.”
But not everyone runs, some people participate in other events like throwing or jumping.
Eighth grader Jensen Treece said, “I run 100m, 200m, and pole vault and long jump.”
All the athletes gave it there all on Wednesday. Eighth grade came out victorious.
