The junior high boys’ track and field team improved to 2-0 on the season after taming the not-so Wild Cats of Central Mountain by a score of 138 to 11.
The Mt. Lions proved to be the more ferocious felines by winning 17 of the 18 events.

Jensen Treese – Pole Vault. Jensen tied the school record by clearing 10 feet.

Track and Field Results Announcement
The Altoona Lady Lions triumphed over the Central Mountain Wildcats with an impressive final score of 105-45.
Relay Events

The 4×800 meter relay team of Leah Connolly, Emma Etters, Cora Jones, and Raya Potts dominated with a time of 11:22.

The 4×100 relay team, featuring Karma Lopez-Oakes, Hailey Camberg, Claire Betar, and Nara Harzbecker, won by a narrow margin, finishing in 55.9 seconds.
Individual Events

Mikayla Patterson claimed victory in the 100 meter hurdles (18.7 seconds) and the 300 hurdles (54.1 seconds), with Jaycee Rossman placing second in both events.

Nara Harzbecker took first in the 100 meter dash (13.9 seconds) and the 200 meter dash (29.8 seconds).

Emma Etters won the 1609 meter run (5:52) and the 3200 meter run (13:44), with Kaitlyn Murtiff and Evangeline Broadrick also performing strongly.

Maura Farabaugh secured first in the 400 meter run (1:09) and contributed to the winning 4×400 meter relayteam alongside Nara Harzbecker, Evie Irwin, and Layla McCarter, finishing in 4:52.
Field Events

Morgan Thompson took first in high jump, while Zaraya Henderson placed second.

In pole vault, the Lady Lions swept the podium with Kaitlyn Murtiff (1st), Gabby Gotshall (2nd), and Kayla Wolf (3rd).

Raya Potts also won the long jump with a jump of 14′ 2″.

Callie Ingham excelled in field events, winning both the discus (77′ 2″) and shot put, while placing third in javelin. Alyson Farabaugh took second in both discus and javelin, and third in shot put. Emerson Clause also performed well in shot put, securing second place.
