This Friday marks the start of the Altoona Public Library’s Spring used book sale. This sale will run from the April 25-28, and books, CDs, puzzles and more are available for purchase.
The main purpose of this sale is to raise money to be donated for the library, and this year $50,000 were donated to the library.
The library does not actually run this sale though.
Blair County Library System Administrator Jennifer Knisely said, “The library book sale is actually run by a group called Friends of the Altoona Public Library, and all of the funds that they get are collected, and they make an annual donation back to the library.”
These items are donated by the community and only cost a small amount. The library even holds a $5 bag day on April 28. During this sale, make sure to go and support the library, while picking up some interesting reads.
