As per the Student Code of Conduct shorts and skirts need to extend to at least fingertip length, midriffs may not be showing, and shoulders have to be covered (no shirts hanging off of the shoulder or tank tops). Additionally, no hoods are to be worn while in the building. Violators of the dress code are subject to disciplinary action.

REMINDER: Any 6th or 7th grade girl interested in playing basketball for the 25-26 school year, there will be an open gym tonight in our Junior High Gym from 5:30-7.
Attention Teachers and Students: Due to ACA PSSA testing, the library will be closed May 5th, 6th, and 7th. Please do not send any students to the library on these three days. The help desk will keep its normal hours of 8:15-10:15 and 12:30-2:30 but will be located in the computer lab. Students must use the computer lab door beside the elevator to go to the help desk. Do not walk into the library to get to the help desk.
The library is closing May 16th. Please return all library books before May 16th. Any books that are still out after the 16th, will be marked lost, become a fine on your Skyward account, and will affect 8th grade end of year activities. Please return your books as soon as possible.
Congratulations go out to the AAJHS students and staff who were part of the Altoona Community Theatre’s production of “Mary Poppins!” A huge shout out to students Ruby Zlupko, Lila Eamigh, Hannah Pierannunzio, and Darren Focht, along with teachers, Mrs. Dugan, Mrs. Connell, Mrs. Garlick, and Ms. Craig. The show was phenomenal and you all should be commended for your wonderful artistry on the stage and behind the scenes! Bravo!
The Maroon baseball team clipped the wings of the Bald Eagle golden eagles on Friday by the scores of 4-2 and 7-5.
In game one, Aden Boggs had 2 hits and 2 RbI’s and Zyahr O’neil had a huge RBI single to lead the Mountain Lions in victory. Vince Nedimeyer, Boggs and Kruz Keith combined to hold Bald Eagle to a measly 2 hits.
In game 2, Chance Butler had 2 hits and Kolt Meloy pitched 2 solid innings and also chipped in 2 RBIs from the plate in his victory.
The Mountain Lions travel to Bellefonte today on a mission to trounce the Red Raiders.
