Why make up snow days?
Every school year kids enjoy having cancellations and delays frequently. With delays and especially cancellations come unconditional joy, until notified the day missed must be made up. This is a problem not just present at this school but schools all across America. Many student feel it is unnecessary to make up snow days, and there are quite a few reasons why.
The first reason is quite obvious to most students. Nothing goes on in June, and we’re needed to show up anyway for those last two weeks of school. As much as it is enjoyed being absentminded those last few days, it would not be a huge problem intertwining the lessons missed into those few final weeks, as there would still be plenty of time for end of the year fun.
Another thing is summer school. Every year, but especially this year, summer school runs very close to the end of the school year. Shouldn’t kids have a break in-between school and summer courses? Either way it is pointless to make up snow days when the school does nothing in June anyway. This problem is extremely present this year.
