“Life is very interesting… in the end, some of your greatest pains, become your greatest strengths.”
– Drew Barrymore
This week’s quote is by actress, model and film director Drew Barrymore. Barrymore first appeared in as the little girl, Gertie, in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. Some other movies that she is in include 50 First Dates, The Wedding Singer, Charlie’s Angels and Everybody’s Fine. Barrymore was named an Ambassador Against Hunger for the UN World Food Program. Since then Drew Barrymore has donated over one million dollars to the program. Barrymore received the Globe Award for Best Actress in a Television Program.
This quote was chosen this week to show that struggle is a part of life. When something becomes hard, do not give up. Keep pushing because it always gets better. There can never be a rainbow without a little rain. Everybody has to face hardship sometime in their lives but everybody gets through them. Drew Barrymore is right, life is very interesting, it seems like when something can go wrong, it does. Barrymore also recognizes that there are also many beauties in life. Being able to get through pain and becoming a stronger person is what living is all about.
