Hi, my name is Katie Beck, and I am a writer for Livewire. I am a very active person, and I like to play a lot of sports. I play soccer for the school and also for a club. I also play softball and basketball for school, and I also like to travel for these sports too. My favorite holiday is Christmas, but my favorite season is summer. I love to swim, ride four wheelers and hangout with my friends. I have a golden retriever, and his name is Benny. He is about 4 years old and is really big. I  have three other siblings and two of them are younger than me and on is older than me. That is everything about me.

Open wide! This is one of the monster pots that art teacher John King's class has been creating. This pot took about one week, and it takes a lot of work to finish. When looking at this pot, eighth grader Ceazia Jackson said, " Wow! That looks hard to make, but it still looks so cool and scary."

Pinch Pot Monsters

This is so fun! This is eight grader Kanali Gilmore, and she is working on her pinch pot. This is the fourth day she has been working on her pinch pot.

Pulling and stretching. Eight grader Ceazia Jackson started from scratch to create her monster pot. The clay is in a ball shape before you even start your project.

Yum, yum! Two girls help each other complete their monster pot. They are designing the Cookie Monster.

Smooth those edges! Eight grader Jackson is smoothing out her edges on her monster pot. She does this so that her pot doesn't come out with sharp edges.

I'm hungry! This is another pot someone created in eight grade art teacher John King's class. This is supposed to be a shark, and she just turned it in.

Finish that pot! Eight grader Gilmore is finishing up on her Cookie Monster. She just needs to blend her edges together then she is done.

Scratch and attach! Eight grader Jackson is scratching and attaching her teeth to her shark. You have to use a sharp tool to scratch the sides. Then, put mud on it, so it will stay together.

So cute! Eight grader Gilmore just finished making her Cookie Monster pot. She is getting ready to go and turn it in.

Say, cheese! Eight grader Ka'Mya Carter just finished her monster pot, and it is so scary. She put a lot of hard effort into this pot.

I'm going to eat you! Eight grader Jackson just finished making her shark pot. She has to wait for it to finish drying.
