Drop in the ocean by Ron Pope

In 2006, Ron Pope hit single” Drop in the Ocean” was put online for public.  In 2009,  it was featured on shows like The Vampire Diaries, 90210 and So you think you can dance. His song hit the top 100 on itunes list and in all honesty, this song really deserves on the top 5 list for best songs of the year. It is a great song.

Basically the song goes through talking about this guy hoping and dreaming that he can get this girl, but sadly he states in the song that it’s like “wishing for rain as you stand in the desert”and what he is meaning to say about this is that his chances of getting with this girl are not that high, but still he thinks of this girl as his heaven.  If any music listeners favor music that comes from artists like Ed Sheeran or any band or musician that plays the type of music like this then they will definitely love this song.  It’s a sweet and loving slow song that can get to any  ones heart. Also,  The lyrics create a picture in your head and that’s what songs are suppose to do.  The song is pouring with feeling and it’s has a relaxing tone to it.  Going through the song, the listener can see that it has feeling and depth and all and all its just a really good song.  It’s well put together and no one can help themselves from not wanting to sing it.  Very well written song.
