Ryan Villopoto captured his twenty ninth win in Daytona, FL. After getting the hole shot watching Ken Roczen lead the race from close behind, and four laps into the main event, Villopoto passed Roczen. He then led the last sixteen laps of the race. Not only did he take the lead but as he crossed the finish line in first place, he took the points lead from Davi Millsaps. This is the third consecutive year the number one took the top podium spot in Dayton sponsored by Honda. Villopoto had the fastest lap time of 1:18.964.
