Track athletes ended the season at districts on May 17, 2018.

“I’m very happy that the season is over because I did indoor track and that’s back to back seasons which is a lot of running,” ninth grader Austin Kravetz said.

Kravetz ran the 110 meter hurdles, 300 meter hurdles, the 4 by 100 meter relay and the 4 by 400 meter relay.

“I’m glad the seasons over because I’ve basically been running since June, and now I can relax for a little,” ninth grader Jack Hatch said.

Hatch ran cross country, which starts in June with summer training.

“My favorite part of track was hanging out with my friends while doing a good workout,” Kravetz said.

Kravtez practiced with the hurdler group.

“My favorite part of track was getting better in meets because it showed that all my hard work payed off,” Hatch said.

Hatch ran the 800 meter run and the 1600 meter run.

“My least favorite part was doing the workouts while I was injured,” Kravetz said.

Kravetz got compartment syndrome a few weeks before the season ended.

“My least favorite part of track was seeing people because I’m antisocial,” Hatch said.

Hatch practiced with the distance group.

“I will go out for the team next year because I think it’s beneficial to me, and I’m good at it,” Kravetz said.

The track team sent the 4 by 400 meter boys relay team to states and took second place in the district meet.
