The P.A.W.S. program will benefit many students who reach out for help.

Helping students in Altoona, PA and surrounding communities for several years, P.A.W.S. Project, promises to continue to tutor and provide aid with homework eliminating added stress and frustration. Carla Glisan came up with this idea to help local children with their schoolwork in order to remove the feeling of defeat that comes with complicated homework assignments after school. The P.A.W.S. Project itself launched in September.

This program was not a result of the pandemic… The pandemic merely provided the motivation to move forward with it,” says Carla Glisan. This program also helps many other districts such as: State College Area, Bellefonte Area, Huntingdon Area and many more.

The guides available to provide assistance are eligible, qualified Penn State University students. There are more than 50 students and 26 guides in the program. If you want more information go to their website.
