Play ball! Alecea Wisor practices her swing for her first softball game this season. The team was thrilled to hear that they have the opportunity to play ball this year.

The girls softball team finally gets a chance to play ball this year since the COVID-19 pandemic has eased down from last year.

I was able to get some feedback from one of the softball team members. Alecea Wisor said, “It was very disappointing to not have a season last year because I was not as active, so it feels amazing to get back on the field again.”

All spring sports were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic last year. This pandemic has had a huge effect on so many people around the world. The team members, ready to get back on the field, want to bring home wins for the school by dominating at games leading to a possible championship this year. The team opens the season on Monday, Mar. 29 at Columbia Park vs. Bellwood at 4p.m. For a complete list of the schedule, click here.
