News Brief: Altoona Public Library Book Sale
At the end of month, the public library is holding again a spring, used book sale! From Friday, April 29-Monday, May 2, the library will be holding their sale.
Books transport us to another world and time. Readers never know what they will find when they open a new story.
J.R.R Tolkien describes the feelings readers have when they read a new story best in his novel, “The Lord of the Rings.”
“It’s a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don’t keep your feet, there’s no knowing where you might be swept off to.” – J.R.R. Tolkien.
From books to old records, the sale will have everything!
April 29- 30 all books will be $1. May 2 however is fill a bag day! Customers can stick as many books as they can fit into a bag for $5!
It will be an enjoyable day for all involved!
Readers always love to buy new books. When a discount book sale pops up, readers have a tendency to go overboard in their book buying!
“I love seeing the people who come in and walk out with stacks and stacks and stacks of books,” said Altoona Public librarian Justina Fuller.
