Hello! I am an eighth grader. Ever since I was young, I have loved to read, and I also have always liked to write. In my free time, I love to sing, read, play flute and have fun with my family. My favorite book is "The Phantom of the Opera" by Gaston Leroux. I want to be a journalist after I graduate college, and I can't wait to get my start on Livewire! I live by Rory Gilmore's iconic quote, "I live in two worlds. One is the world of books." My goal for the Livewire this year is to write about the stories that the student body is passionate about. I can't wait for another great writing year for Livewire!

Hopes and dreams! The historical musical is set during the early 1900s. Anastasia is one of my all time favorite musicals and there are many symbols that portray the aesthetic side of the show. It was taken off Broadway in 2019, but currently has the touring company traveling through the United States!

Let the dream descend! The Majestic Theater in New York is home to the longest running Broadway show of all time, The Phantom of the Opera. In March of 2022, I was given the chance to see the show on Broadway, and it was a dream come true!

Sugar, butter, flour! Waitress is absolutely stunning to listen to and see! The musical was on Broadway for roughly four years before closing in early 2020. In September of 2021, the show came back to Broadway as part of Broadways big reopening! Waitress was originally at the Brooks Atkinson theater before the shows original closing, and when it reopened, it moved right across the street to the Ethel Barrymore.

Books on books! The Altoona Area Public Library has their back room full of hundreds of books for their book sale at the end of the month. The back room was full of all sorts of novels from new releases to books dated back to the 1800s. As my favorite quote by Mason Cooley said, Reading gives us someplace to go when we have to stay where we are.
