Announcements for Thursday, May 26!
- There will be an organizational meeting for the Altoona High Boys Golf team on Tuesday, May 31st at 2:50 pm in the AAHS Fieldhouse Lobby. Any interested boys entering 9th grade in the fall should attend this meeting.

- Attention girls currently in sixth and seventh grades who are interested in playing volleyball: there will be an informational meeting today right after school in Mrs. Negri’s room, room 212. If you are interested in playing volleyball for the junior high next season, please plan to attend. The meeting will last until 3:20.
- Any student from the first semester who had their artwork held by Mrs. O’Roark should come and pick up their artwork in her classroom 338 at their earliest convenience by the end of the day on Friday.
- Attention all students: Any student interested in learning to play tennis, please see Mr. Colledge in room C193 for more information.
- The focus this week for earning eBucks is to come to class with all of your materials! The buckets for you to put in eBucks in for a summer basket will be in the cafeteria today! Also, tomorrow, May 27th, it’s Americana Colors War day! Earn 2 eBucks by wearing your grades assigned color (6th – red, 7th – white, 8th – blue). Whichever grade has the most people participate will win a treat!!
- Attending Book Club members: Our final meeting for the year will be held today from 2:45-3:30 in Mrs. Loucks’s office. Please be sure you finish the book and bring it with you to turn in. If you are unable to attend please find time to drop your book off to Mrs. Loucks in her office.
- Do you like to swim? Have you ever thought about competitive swimming? Now is your chance because Summer Swim Team has begun! Bring your swim suits and goggles and join us at 3:30 at the swimming pool in the high school’s field house every day after school.
- Attention Students: There is a limited amount of yearbooks in the library to be sold on a first come first serve basis. These are pay and take with cash payments only. And when they are gone, they are gone. The price is $35 cash only. Please stop by the library and buy yours before they are gone.
- Attention students: This Friday (May 27) is the last day the Chromebook Cafe and the Fitness Room will be open for the school year. Thank you to those who attended this year! We look forward to seeing you in the Fall!!
- There will be an informational meeting on Tuesday, May 31 for all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders interested in playing football next year. The meeting will be held in café. 1 immediately after announcements.
- Academic award winners, don’t forget to wear your t-shirts tomorrow, Friday, May 27, for the picture!
