Merry Christmas! When kids visited Santa, they got a treat bag, a book and a small gift. They also could have received a picture with Santa at that time.

Sunday, Dec. 11, the St. John the Evangelist Church hosted a free breakfast with Santa in the gym where families could enjoy a breakfast, visit with Santa, play games and more.

The event had tons of food such as bagels, waffles, sausages, cinnamon rolls and more. It began at 9 a.m. and ended at 11 a. m. You could go visit Santa and get a picture with him while he was in his chair, or you could talk to him as he walked around. After that, you could go play elf bowling, polar bear bean bag toss,  Santa hat ring toss, make crafts and reindeer food.

The event was much more successful than the previous year’s Cookies with Santa.

Breakfast with Santa organizer Diane Ryan said, “I thought that it was very successful. I think the time change coming up between the two masses was a better option. The free breakfast seemed like a big hit too.”

With being able to visit Santa, play games, eat breakfast and make crafts, the event was very successful and a relaxing time for families that attended.
