    Announcements for Wednesday, Feb. 7!

Attention Students:  The library is hosting its monthly Lego Club meeting on Wednesday, February 7th from 2:45 to 3:30 in the library.  Please sign up in the library if you plan to attend and be sure to have a ride at the main doors by 3:30.

Attention 8th Graders:  If you have an overdue library book, it will be marked lost on Friday, Feb 9th and become a fine on your Skyward account.  This will prevent you from being able to purchase a Fire and Ice Dance ticket.  Please return your library book asap to avoid this fine.

Attention athletes attending the baseball outdoor open gym:

Please meet Coach Larson in the gym lobby no earlier than 2:40.  Do not arrive any sooner or you will be reprimanded.  Coach Larson will then take everyone to the locker room together to retrieve your gear and walk over to the IM field.  Please refer to google classroom for more detailed instructions

There’s a new after school opportunity for hands-on STEM experiments! Join Ms. Gardner in Room C258 afterschool the first Wednesday of every month – starting TODAY – after school until 3:30. We will use materials to solve creative STEM problems like building the tallest tower out of pasta noodles and folding the farthest flying paper airplane. All students are welcome and encouraged to check it out. Be sure you schedule your ride to pick you up at 3:30 if you plan to stay! See Ms. Gardner in Room C258 with any questions!

“7th grade maroon boys basketball had a big win over Park Forest last night, beating them 54-39. Ki’Yonte Barnes and Eli Adams combined for 41 points. Congrats boys and good luck against Spring Cove on Saturday!”

Attention students:  Here is today’s math question:  In a room there are two clocks. One clock gains one minute every hour and the other loses two minutes every hour. Yesterday they were both set to the correct time but today, the time shown on one was 11:00 a.m. and the time shown on the other was 12:00 noon. What time was it when both clocks were reset yeterday?  If you like puzzles and riddles and the 24 game, come to our Mathcounts meeting today after school from 2:45 until 3:30.  Please see Mrs. Abbott in C275 for details or email.
