Ecstatic for the eclipse! People should get ready for this by getting the needed glasses or simply just staying inside.

On April 8, a solar eclipse will be occurring!

The eclipse’s path will cross North and Central America.

Due to this, all schools in the county will be ending early at noon.

Eighth grader Nevaeh Boynton said, “I plan on seeing the eclipse because I think it’s a cool thing to experience.”

Solar eclipses only happen once every seven years, so this is your chance if you want to see one in real life soon.

You can get solar eclipse glasses at most gas stations, Walmart, Amazon, the public library and some science teachers may be giving them out.

All in all, be prepared for the eclipse, and if you plan on seeing it, remember to wear the special glasses!

I heard lots of rumors on social media of people saying that the solar eclipse will be super dangerous and you need to take shelter and stock up on food, but that is obviously a rumor. Solar eclipses are 100% harmless unless you look at them without glasses. People just love to spread rumors and lie and scare people. I’m excited for the solar eclipse because when there was a total solar eclipse a couple years ago, I missed out on seeing it, so I want to see it! From Altoona, you can only see a partial eclipse, so if you want to see a total eclipse you have to go to Erie, PA! I’m hoping to go to Erie.
