Uh oh! A student stumbles throughout the hallways, lunging around a mountain of books and papers, while bombarded by clocks going off. This is an exaggeration of what an average day can be like for eighth grade students, but isn't far from the truth of how it actually is without a study hall.
Editorial: Eighth graders need a study hall
Eclectic electronics. The top consoles of today are the Nintendo Switch, the Xbox series X/S and the Playstation 5. These consoles have been out for a good bit now though and a new generation of consoles are sure to come rolling in anytime now. Eighth graderTristan Quintana said, "I love Nintenod because they created Mario, and Mario is cool."

Take a stand! Educational websites are being filtered unfairly and without a second thought. People and teachers are annoyed with this filtering and hope for more freedom.
The Downsides of Filtering Websites
School hours. Will students want this time to either change or stay the same? Some want more sleep in the morning, and some want to have more time for after school activities.
School hours 7 a.m.-3 p.m. or 9 a.m.-4 p.m.?

Hello! My name is Londyn, and I’m an eighth grade reporter. Since I was little, I have always enjoyed writing, so I’m super excited to write for Livewire this year! I love makeup/skincare, photography, going to the gym and travelling. My favorite place to travel to is New York City. When I’m older, I want to go to NYU and become an author.
