Our school year is coming to an end, and seventh grade English teacher Christine Knott-Hallinan’s time here is also coming to an end. Knott-Hallinan is retiring after 35 years of educating students!
What got Knott-Hallinan into teaching was her just always wanting to do it. She has worked with little kids since she was in eighth grade by babysitting. She enjoys working with children and helping them with their work.
“My favorite thing about teaching is my colleagues, field trips, sweet, interesting kids and celebrating holidays together,” said Knott-Hallinan.
Retiring doesn’t have to be such a bad thing. Knott-Hallinan said she is looking forward to traveling, celebrating holidays with her family and a new grand baby!
