Teaching concludes. Tom Saylor smiles as he thinks of all the fun he has had teaching eighth graders. He will exit the junior high on May 30, 2024.

Eighth grade social studies teacher Tom Saylor is leaving after 37 wonderful years of teaching students. He will retire at the end of this 2024 school year.

 

Saylor got into teaching by going to a teachers state college, Millersville university. His favorite class when he went to Bishop Guilfoyle High School was American history, and that was taught by one of his football coaches.

 

“My favorite thing about teaching is the subject matter that I taught,” said Saylor.

 

Excited to have a lot of free time to play golf and spend time with his family, Saylor says his farewells to AAJHS.
