Juliana Lapek and Kyle McCabe met each other in college.
“We’ve been in technology education together for nine years. We taught in the same district for our first year teaching, but we were in different high schools,” Lapek said.
Lapek and McCabe are both seventh and eighth grade tech education teachers. Their classes are right down the hall from each other.
Even though their classrooms are close, that doesn’t mean they see each other all the time.
“There’s not a lot of interaction to be quite honest,” McCabe said.
Lapek said overall, we kind of keep to ourselves most of the day. It’s nice to see a friendly face in the hallway in between classes though.
Many pros come with Lapek and McCabe working together.
“We get to carpool. It saves us gas money,” said Lapek.
” McCabe said it’s a lot easier working together with certain things that you know need teamwork. We’re used to working together and commuting costs are definitely a pro!
The engaged couple will get married this summer!
